Job Title: Director of Research Operations

Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
We are seeking a Director of Research Operations to lead the onboarding, integration, and operational management of financial research and related content providers, ensuring their products are seamlessly distributed to our users, in a compliant and secure manner.

About the Role / Key Responsibilities
- Sell-Side Research Onboarding:
- Build and maintain relationships with sell-side research and other financial content providers.
- Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring providers' content meets platform standards and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g. technology, compliance, and research operations) to facilitate smooth integrations.
- Content Management and Distribution:
- Ensure research content is accurately tagged/categorized in compliance with RIXML standards.
- Oversee management of content entitlements for permissioned users on the platform.
- Develop and implement workflows for real-time content updates, restrictions and repostings, and notifications to users.
- Monitor research consumption metrics and applicable bi-lateral embargo agreements between research providers and consumers.
- Operational Excellence and Data Quality Control:
- Develop and refine processes for onboarding, content updates, and issue resolution.
- Monitor and maintain data integrity and quality control for all research content on the platform.
- Analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement scalable solutions.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards in all operational workflows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between research providers, internal teams, and end-users.
- Collaborate with the product team to enhance platform features related to research integration, discovery and distribution.
- Provide feedback to development teams on technical and functional improvements based on operational needs.
- Strategic Leadership:
- Stay informed about industry trends, research innovations, and regulatory developments.
- Contribute to the firm's strategic vision for expanding research provider partnerships and enhancing platform capabilities.

Skills and Experience
- Experience:
- 7+ years in research operations (sell-side, buy-side or aggregation vendor), or related roles within fintech, financial services, or SaaS platforms.
- Proven experience in managing relationships with research providers or similar stakeholders.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) skills required.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and data distribution platforms.
- Basic understanding of APIs and data integration processes is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management abilities. Attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast paced environment, managing multiple responsibilities at once.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on process optimization and scalability.
- Well rounded individual with a strong work ethic, but an understanding for work-life balance.
- Highly motivated to learn new skill sets.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) are a plus.
