Job Title: VP of Finance / Senior Finance Role

Location: New York, NY / In-Person Preferred

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $175,000 - $225,000

We are looking for a highly skilled finance professional to join our team. This position will be filled by someone with 5+ years of experience in a finance oriented role (investment banking, research, consulting perfectly acceptable) and passionate about financial markets and the institutional investment space. We are primarily targeting for someone to be located in-person in New York City (Midtown) but are willing to consider hybrid or remote work candidates if they are qualified.

About the Role

At Aiera, you will:

  • Report directly to Aiera’s executive team
  • Assist in management of all aspects of company finances, including:
    • Organize Month-end, Quarter-end, Year-end closings with Accounting Team
    • Manage Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
    • Set and track company KPIs and targets 
    • Plan and manage sales commissions and quotas along with executive team
    • Perform all financial planning, analysis, and budgeting
  • Support day to day internal company operations, including:
    • Compliance and legal 
    • Vendor and partner relationships
    • Fielding incoming investor relations requests 
    • Human resources
    • Support executive team in preparation for Board of Directors meetings and other due diligence requests
    • Contribute to product and sales strategy efforts, including management short term and medium term priorities 
  • Work collaboratively with other company executives, managers, and team members to help nurture our results driven, team oriented environment
  • Represent Aiera in the highest standard with appropriate behavior and character in all business situations

Skills and Experience

  • B.A./B.S. in Business, Finance, Economics, Management or other related field
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of financial accounting and modeling 
  • Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) skills required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast paced environment, managing multiple responsibilities at once
  • Well rounded individual with a strong work ethic, but an understanding for work-life balance
  • Highly motivated to learn new skill sets
  • Ability to work US East coast / NY market hours, preferably from our NYC office

Additional Skills (but not required)

  • Knowledge of financial services and institutional investment management industries is a plus
  • Familiarity with finance and HR software such as QuickBooks, Bill.com, Stripe, Avalara, Coupa, Rippling
  • 2+ years background in investment banking (including sales, research, or trading), consulting, at a financial services company, or other finance oriented role (such as at a B2B software company)
  • NYC-based
